Patrick returned to Oregon over Halloween for the second session of the 3rd Advocates College. Then he was on to AARP headquarters in Washington, DC to present at a meeting of their National Policy Council, which is working to defend key government programs and foster a rational dialogue about the need for additional revenues. Patrick also presented at the annual meeting of the State Environmental Leadership Program in Tahoe City, CA, where he conducted a half-day training on defending the role of government in environmental protection and stewardship.
Marcia and Anika just returned from Bismark, ND, where they presented at the North Dakota Economic Security Prosperity Alliance (NDESPA) annual summit. Our team worked with leaders from around the state to incorporate shared messaging into their work on advocating for greater oversight and collaboration as the state determines how to best utilize its forecasted revenue surplus.
Elaine headed back to Canada where she continues to work with the National Union of Public and Governmental Employees. The organization’s “All Together Now” campaign is reshaping the public debate about taxes and the economy.
